The team behind Royal Resistance will be hosting one of the biggest running events in Woolwich. The Royal Riverside Run in aid of Demelza. The charity helps children that may have not long to live, live a full life.
Starting in Royal Arsenal you’ll be heading out across the seemingly endless Ridgeway over to North Thamesmead and coming back along the river Thames to finish back on Royal Arsenal to complete a breathtaking 10km run.
This unique run is open to everyone with free events to be held on the day for spectators to enjoy:
At 9:45 the 5km race will take off around the the Arsenal and the Riverside.
Then at 10am the 10km runners with set off from Royal Arsenal along the Ridgeway and then the Thames Riverside pathway before crossing the line on Royal Arsenal’s One Street.
At 1130am we have a 1mile fun run for the kids (don’t worry mum and dad you can join in and get a special medal too.
You can pick up your number, time chip and pre-ordered event T-shirts from 8:30am on the race day.
All three races will be fully mapped out with individual arrows and there will be marshals all around the course in case you need anything and at crucial turning points.
