Description

Join us for the 25th Severn Trent Mountain Challenge and walk 25 miles or 25 kilometres in the glorious Peak District!

Why not bring the family? We have a family-friendly route suitable for families (6.7 miles) - perfect for those little legs to join in the fun!

Event details and schedule

Teams (3-6 people) will set off from Hope Valley College across the Dark Peak area, enjoying spectacular views and exhilarating inclines before descending back through Edale to the college for refreshments and hot food.

Money raised from the challenge will fund WaterAid’s life-saving work in Ethiopia. Ethiopia is Africa's fourth largest and second most populous country but is one of the poorest countries in the world and one of the least well served in terms of water and sanitation.

In 2017 the event raised £34,000 to support WaterAid’s vital work.  To date, the challenge has raised over £680,000 helping more than 45,500 people take their first steps out of poverty.

By taking part in the Severn Trent Mountain Challenge, you will be raising vital money to fund projects that provide clean, safe water right outside people’s homes and provide communities with safe places to go to the toilet.
