Saturday 24th March 2018
Selsdon: 2-4 Selsdon Park Road, Selsdon, United Kingdom
Now in its 9th year, the Selsdon Half Marathon is a not-to-be-missed event. Well-marshalled, the course is mostly 'on-road' through Shirley Hills, South Croydon, Mytchley Hill, Sanderstead and through the woods back to Selsdon. 13.1 miles of sheer Heaven!! There are two or three hills so keep some energy to get you up those. There is plenty of parking in the nearby Selsdon Primary School car park and water stations along the way. We have toilet and changing facilities at the Church, where the race starts and finishes. Goody bags including medal and T-shirt for all finishers. You can enter the Half Marathon or the Half Marathon Relay Race (a team of three, each running a 4.36 mile leg).
Registration is online and check-in and number collection on the day starts from 09:00 and the race starts at 10:00am. There is no parking at the Church but plenty of parking in the nearby Selsdon Primary School car park, about 300 yards from the Church. It can still be a bit nippy in March so wear something warm. The course does cross a number of roads and two tram crossings so please take extra care at those particular marshalled points. All finishers receive a medal, t-shirt and some goodies. Bring money with you as there will be hot dogs, hot chocolate and other refreshments for sale at the finish. This is a charity event - all proceeds go to the SOUTH EAST CANCER HELP CENTRE and REACH THE CHILDREN.
