Thursday 5th December 2019
Paternoster Square: Paternoster Square, London, United Kingdom
Santa in the City is London's iconic 5k Santa Run. Back again in 2019 this year's santa run event will be on Thursday 5th December 2019. Starting again at 7pm, Santa in the City is the only santa run where you'll run past some of the most iconic locations in London (and the world…), dressed as a santa!
The Santa in the City route starts by taking you over Millennium Bridge providing world famous views of Tower Bridge, Tate Modern and the Shard. The route then snakes along the historic south embankment, past the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, some of London's oldest pubs, and Borough Market. You will cross over Southwark Bridge and hug the north embankment running towards the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, returning back through the City and finally crossing the Millennium Bridge to the finish line by St Pauls Cathedral. A truly iconic route!
Run for fun or run for charity! Santa in the City is the perfect way to get you, your friends and family into the London festive spirit! Every runner will get their very own Santa Suit, individual running number and medal, plus the chance to say you were part of this year's Santa in the City event! No previous experience is needed for a 5km run like this. The route is relatively flat and you can run, jog or walk. This year's charity partners are Fountain for Peace, Spinal Research, Astriid, Imperial Cancer Charity, Connection St Martin-in-the-Fields and The Advocacy Project. See website (santainthecity.co.uk) for more information or how to fundraise for these organisations.
