Description

POPPY RIDE for The Royal British Legion is a brand new multi distance cycle event. As you pedal through the picturesque Staffordshire countryside you will have a chance to push your ride capabilities alongside veterans from The Battle Back Centre.

Both routes, of around 50k and 100k, will start and finish at The Battle Back Centre, a facility that supports wounded, injured and sick Service personnel. The Centre exists to help people achieve their best possible recovery and either return to Service duty or to make a smooth transition to civilian life.

The Battle Back Centre is an Army-led Centre that is funded and delivered by The Royal British Legion. Led by world-class coaching staff, they offer rehabilitation through activities including climbing, watersports, caving, wheelchair basketball, clay shooting and archery. The activities are challenging but aim to build camaraderie with others going through similar challenges both physically and mentally.
