Cheltenham Racecourse: Evesham Road, Cheltenham, United Kingdom
The Cheltenham Challenge has something for everyone - runners, walkers, families and charity fundraisers.
A multi-terrain event offering 5k, 10k and Half Marathon distances.
The 5k, 10k and Half Marathon are WALKER FRIENDLY events. Juniors and children are welcome to participate in the 5K and 10K events.
Starting at Cheltenham Racecourse, the routes use public footpaths and sections of the Cheltenham Circular Footpath, Cotswold Way and Winchcombe Way, passing through glorious Cotswold countryside and offering fantastic views.
The 5k and 10k routes are reasonably level with some small inclines. The Half Marathon loop starts at around 60m elevation and climbs to 330m elevation, reaching the highest point in the Cotswolds. With undulations, the total climb on this loop is around 360m. The route lengths are approximate, having been measured by GPS and Google Earth, but are guaranteed to meet or exceed the stated event distances.
