What is Bike Chester?

Brought to you by the experienced team at Iconic Cycling Events, Bike Chester championed by Redrow Homes is a day of marked rides of 25, 50 and 80 miles taking in the best scenery of Chester and the surrounding countryside. As an entrant you will benefit from:

  • A timing chip to record your time
  • Fully signposted routes with a back up route map and GPS files;
  • Feed stations showcasing the best produce from local food and drink suppliers;
  • On course medical support;
  • A high quality finishers medal for each distance.

2018 entry fees are £36 for the 50 and 80 mile routes and £26 for the 25 mile route for adults with a charge of £15 for Under 16s. There will be an online booking fee on all entries and an early bird discount available until 31st December 2017.

A family entry (for the 25 mile route is available at £70.00 plus booking fee for 2 adults and 2 children under 16.

Event details and schedule


The start/finish area will be at The King's School on Wrexham Road.


There are no parking facilities at the school. We recommend riders use the Marks and Spencer Bank car park in Chester Business park (a couple of minutes down the road).

Saturday afternoon

We will be open for collection of timing chips and rider numbers from 17:00 to 18:30 at the Event Village.

Sunday Morning

07:30 - 10:15 Arrive at the venue and leave your bike in the secure bike park while you sign in to collect your timing chips and rider numbers. If you need to leave a bag there will be a bag drop available.

When you’re ready to go please grab your bike and make your way to the start area where riders will be briefed and released in groups of 20 as follows:

  07:30 - 08:30 - 80 milers

  08:30 - 09:30 - 50 milers

  09:30 - 10:15 - 25 milers

Along the route you will find clear signage, feed stations and first aid support. There will also be paramedic support riders roaming the course on their motorbikes to provide assistance if required.

Sunday Afternoon

As you arrive back at the venue be sure to collect your medal before joining your fellow riders for some food and a celebration drink.
