What is Bike Oxford?

Brought to you by the team behind the successful and well-regarded Bike Bath event, Bike Oxford is a day of marked rides of 25, 50 and 80 miles starting and finishing at Oxford University Rugby Club and taking in the best scenery of Oxford and the surrounding countryside. As an entrant you will benefit from:

  • A timing chip to record your time
  • Fully signposted routes with a back up route map and GPS files;
  • Feed stations showcasing the best produce from local food and drink suppliers;
  • On course medical support;
  • A high quality finishers medal for each distance.

Entry fees are £35 (£30 early bird discount) for the two long routes and £22 (£20 early bird discount) for the short route for adults with children being charged £12. All registrations will also include a booking fee.

Event details and schedule


The start/finish area will be at Oxford University Rugby Club on Iffley Road.


There is no parking at the venue and we advise parking in Redbridge Park and Ride.


If you require accomodation Oxford has a wide variety including University college rooms and hotels/guest houses.

Saturday afternoon

We will be open for collection of timing chips and rider numbers from 17:00 to 18:30 at the Event Village.

Sunday Morning

  07:30 - 10:15 Arrive at the venue and leave your bike in the secure bike park while you sign in to collect your timing chips and rider numbers. If you need to leave a bag there will be a bag drop available.

When you’re ready to go please grab your bike and make your way to the start area where riders will be briefed and released in groups of 20 as follows:

  07:30 - 08:30 - 80 milers

  08:30 - 09:30 - 50 milers

  09:30 - 10:30 - 25 milers

Along the route you will find clear signage, feed stations and first aid support. There will also be paramedic support riders roaming the course on their motorbikes to provide assistance if required.

Sunday Afternoon

As you arrive back at the venue be sure to collect your medal before joining your fellow riders for some food and a celebration drink.
